The Media Super National Print Awards has once again recognised Australia’s only dedicated print design bible, Justus Magazine, honouring Series One Issue 04 with a Gold in the print award’s coveted Embellishment category.
Issue 04 – Wrapped In You is devoted to celebrating the craftsmanship of the finest print packaging techniques from around the country and signals the final installment of Justus Magazine Series One. The issue was unveiled at a special ceremony held at the Champagne Room, The Winery in Surry Hills, NSW.
An all-Australian designed and printed concept journal, the magazine was originally subscriber only. However in response to fans both in Australia and abroad, it is now available for single-issue purchase on the website. More than a magazine, Justus is a studio resource, a supplier directory, a sensory experience and inspirational coffee table book.
Sydney-based founder of Justus Magazine, Lindsay Smith, the creative director of Eleven Eleven Design, works closely with the creative and printing industry to produce a publication known for showcasing the finest examples of print design in Australia.
“Justus Magazine aims to forge stronger relationships within the print and paper community, thereby allowing the industry to enjoy a sure future,” she said.
Revealed in the latest issue are 11 subscribing studios selected for showcase in Flourish – the section dedicated to presenting the most inspiring in print from studios throughout the country. The section praises work from Three60, Design Front, Mash Design, Metropolis Inc, XtraShiny, End of Work, Studio Woo, Designfront, Maud, The Assembly and Our Agency.
Strengthening the connection between the print and design industries, each edition of the series includes an exclusive printer, paper supplier and embellisher, who come together with the Justus design team to collaborate on this treasure trove of tactile delights. Issue 04 – Wrapped in You was printed by Platypus Graphics, embellished by Platypus Graphics, varnished by AllKotes, with paper stock supplied by KW Doggett Fine Paper.
More is more when it comes to Justus. We love it and are proud to be the paper partner for Justus Issue 04.
